On March 2, a group of more than 2,000 (mostly young) protesters from around the country marched on the coal-fired Capitol Power Plant. The plant supplies steam and cooled water to the U.S. Congress. The so-called “civil disobedience” protest was greeted with 8 inches of snow and below freezing temperatures. Time.com reported that... "The same day, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and the House Select Energy Independence and Global Warming Chairman Edward Markey, D-Mass., both had to cancel appearances at another global warming event on Capitol Hill because of the snowy weather." FoxNews.com joked that it was... "Snowing irony in Washington."
Perhaps we could use a reminder from the late Dr. Jerry Falwell who made this statement in a sermon titled "The Myth of Global Warming"; he said... "NAIVE CHRISTIAN LEADERS ARE BEING DUPED." Friends, we must refocus our full attention on our Master, our Message, and our Mission. Our Master is Christ. Our Message is the Gospel. Our Mission is the Great Commission.
