Bottoms Up!

President Obama welcomed House and Senate leaders from both parties to the White House for drinks Wednesday night after the House voted 244-188 to approve Obama's $819 billion debt plan (AKA stimulus package). While some Liberal Pastors may view this as an evangelistic opportunity, it seems more like Belshazzar's party to me. When will our leaders learn that we cannot spend our way out of a recession? What normal person who is about to go under financially, would go out and buy another home or car? Where is our fiscal responsibilty? Why throw a party for this failure? Is the government our only hope? In this present crisis, is government the solution to our problem?
